RCS Agents

📘

Creating and launching an Agent isn't self-service today. Contact your Naxai account manager to get one set up. Once it exists, you can view its details from the Naxai web interface as described below.

An Agent is the verified sender identity your recipients see when they receive an RCS message — your business name, logo, and colors, instead of a raw phone number. Every Agent belongs to a Brand, which represents your company.

Think of the Agent as the RCS equivalent of a registered Sender ID for SMS: it's what earns you the verified badge in the recipient's messaging app.

Brands and Agents

Go to RCS > Brands & Agents to view the Brands that represent your business and the Agents that handle conversations with your customers over RCS.

Brands & Agents screen with Brands and Agents tabs

The Brands tab lists the Brands linked to your account. The Agents tab lists your Agents by display name and the Brand they belong to — click the magnifying glass on a row to open its details.

Agent details

Opening an Agent shows you how it's configured to appear and behave in the recipient's messaging app:

  • Display name — the name shown to recipients
  • Brand — the Brand this Agent belongs to
  • Description, logo, and header image — shown in the recipient's messaging app
  • Contact details — phone numbers, emails, and websites shown alongside the Agent
  • Color — the brand color used in the messaging app
  • Privacy policy and terms — links shown to recipients
  • Use case — Transactional, Promotional, OTP, or Multi-use
  • Billing category — Conversational or Non-conversational, see RCS Billing & Pricing
  • Hosting region — currently Europe

Using your Agent with a Sender Service

An Agent on its own is enough to send RCS directly through the API. If you also want automatic SMS fallback or plan to use RCS Broadcasts, attach your Agent to a Sender Service from SMS > Sender Services. See Sender Services for how to do that — it isn't repeated here since RCS uses the same Sender Service model as SMS.
